On to Missouri to see Family!!!

After Cole got his trophy we traveled 6 hours to get to my
Aunt & Uncles house in California, Missourion mostly 2 lanes roads like this all the way
through Kansas--we loved this sign that said
"Bridge ices before road"

we went through the town where Laura Ingalls lived
we finally arrived at their house about 12:30

or 1 am we would have been there sooner but the

GPS took us on a little detour through 2 dry creek beds and a 3rd with water in it and up a steep hill and it was a one way gravel road and we got no service---it ended up we were only about a mile from their house--but that was a shortcut and the gps was set for the shortest route!!
the next morning we all went to church together--Wayne surprised us as he had come from Illinois to see us!!

Cole and Wayne after churchgetting the tour--they have 218 acres and

it is a turkey farm
--we are walking out to see the turkeysJim, Cole and Ron
Turkeys everywhere--these barns
are huge
--these turkeys are almost ready to goBaby turkeys
all they do is eat
then we walked out to see Christopher's cows
some are in this pond
Cole Wayne and Chris--Chris was calling his
cows and they started coming to him
they all have a baby--i love cows 2nd only to my beloved elephants
I took a million pictures of all the babies
and their mommas
everyone humoring me as i try to get the cows to
come to me--Cole, Wayne, Lex, Jim and Ron
look at that sweet baby nuzzling his mama

they would not let me touch them
Chris sad his bull will come right to him
and it did
he let Chris pet him but not me
they are so curious

the long walk back to the housewe celebrated Masons B-day right before Sunday dinner

The boys

Michele and CadenWayne had to leave after dinner
Then Cole drove the skidster??
Cole playing with the cousins
All the babies love Cole

The boys wanted to see Cole ride
Cole with Logan
Cole with Mason

Jim mowed these terraces for Cole

tons of jumps all in a rowCole loved it

everyone came out to watch him

Michele and her babes

these raccoons were right outside the kitchen door
eating the cat food on the deck

they were so cute

Lex has so many hummingbirds on her feeders
i counted 9 at 1 of them at the same time

Logan and Mason the big brothers

Cooper the blonde boy!!

Cole and Cooper on the porch swing--we were listening to
the thunder and watching the lightening

The night before Cole and I had sat outside
watching the fireflys or lightening bugsnot a great shot but that is their house it is huge
it has 6 bedrooms and 4 baths
these boys loved Cole this was Tuesday
morning after breakfast

the view from the front porch

the view from the back deck

following Cole up past turkey barns
to go riding it was very hot

and humid here

but very pretty green everywhere
still following him

Cooper didnt like cole when he had on all his gear

the family we sure wish we didnt live so far apart
then the cows came

slowly out of the trees to see what cole was doing

the white one was the leader calling the others

waiting to see if they were going to go away

then cows came from another field to see what was going on

they just kept coming from everywhere
to see the motorcycle kid
they were all blocking coles jumps

the white one came right up by him

he started his bike to see if it would scare them
away but no they were there to stay
and it was hot so we headed back to the house

Lex took me to an amish community near her house
where she buys her eggs and i saw some amish children
with their dutchboy hair cuts outside playing
that is a newborn

buggy--she says people make good money
driving the amish around in cars
then we went to see Chris's horse at their friends
house and her new pony

eating at Micheles and Beans house
he made us bisquits and gravy and fried potatoes
a first for both me and cole they were good too
then Bean took Cole outside to do
what boys like to do shot guns

Watching the sun set and bugging Michele
by taking tons of pictures of her and Caden

Mason in the pig pen

Mason letting me take a pic before the pigs
started bugging him--they bite or nibble

Cole shooting he actually is a good shot

The redneck picture

Michele is laughiung cuz she said this is the
redneck picture--kid without shoes-kid without
shirt-kids holding guns
just had to take several

look at that moon and flatland

more corn fields
Cole don't go in there
So loved being there with them
Me and my Michele
Cole took these
me and Cole getting gas in Iowa
more corn fields--we drove from Missouri
to Provo in 1 day it was 19 hours--we drove through
Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming then into Utah
scones at my mission comps house
in provo--having breakfast with Caitlin

loaded and ready to drive home
but first lets play with the unicycle
Cole and I were not too excited about
getting back in the car
what a trip Cole and I were gone 2 weeks
Ron had to fly home after we got to Missouri
as he had to work that Monday--We are so
grateful we got to Missouri and see family!!!
